| Forum Thread | David Brookes showed just how good he can be. by GRIM at 12:46 18 May 2024
I always liked David Brookes ever since his time at Sheffield. He's been so unlucky with his health issues but he's battled back & showed last night just how good he can be. Alright not the most physical & doesn't offer a lot defensively but he is very creative going forward. He gives us something different, a player that is always looking to create something. I just love the way he caresses the ball with the outside of his foot, I would love us to keep him promoted or not. |
| Forum Thread | Martin's best decision of the season? by mancuniansaint at 12:22 18 May 2024
Matching Fraser up with Fellowes was inspired. They had a right old tussle at both ends of the pitch, but Fraser did the most important job of shutting him down almost completely when they attacked. Admit I was worried when Manning replaced him, but by that time I suspect Fellows was as knackered as our man. Hope RF can recover enough to repeat the performance against Gnonto or whoever Leeds choose to play on the right wing. |

Wussell has to tinker again and play Stephens at LB!?! No start for our striker when we need to win Let’s hope that works out but if I was WBAs right winger I would be very happy about that |

Did I read the BBC right in that he is interested in playing one last season for us? |

| Forum Thread | Looks as if Adams is on his way out to Wolves by Flamingbankers at 19:10 16 May 2024
Negotiations going swimmingly apparently. I think he's been good for the club although not a prolific scorer ( I don't think think the supply has ever been good enough for one reason although he has wasted a fair few chances) but can we replace him? I'd love the club to go and acquire Sammie Szmodics. and show some positivity. Although we'll probably be lumbered with someone not even Adams equal. |

PL Clubs to vote on VAR, I think it should go, maybe keep the offside section of it and bin the rest? |
| Forum Thread | Tonight’s other playoff game by SFC_Referee at 14:48 16 May 2024
Well just the same as us, tonight’s game between Leeds and Norwich is practically a one legged affair with their first leg also ended 0-0. But still who would everyone prefer to play in the playoff final if we do win tomorrow? As I’d certainly prefer Leeds and do think they will win this game, but of course at the same only a month ago Leeds hadn’t lost a game at home all season, but times have changed since then… |

An atmosphere to rival that tomorrow night would do me. Even Strachan, notoriously hard to please when it came to support from the fans, said we were good that day. |

Last one back to bstoke 11pm Friday, I’m gonna risk it with my nipper and hope for no extra time or penalties. What’s Uber like in Southampton? |
| Forum Thread | PL clubs to vote on VAR by Southamptonfan at 20:45 15 May 2024
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c4n1ndlknk1o Hope they get rid. One real benefit of being in the championship has been not having VAR. A one second glance at the linesman and then you can celebrate a goal. VAR has sapped the life out of football. This season, we have had a few goals against and a few goals for that shouldn't have stood. It does even itself out. I can take a few mistakes from the ref. GET RID! |
