of course it is relevant in this context. If you didn't see him play for Swansea how can you continue to go on about him?
in Autumn 1995 I saw a footballer called Frank Lampard Junior play for Swansea on loan. He was average at best. I don't come on here reminding fans that Bobby Smith (our interim manager at the time) got it wrong.
Maybe it was Levien who should have pushed harder for Gyokeres instead of giving us DC United players at the time who no one wanted and were not very good.
In all fairness to Andy - he stood in the away end at Watford this season (Tuesday night game).
As for TV coverage. Fans complain when their team is not on TV. Fans complain when their team is on TV and the kick off times change - the kick off times are generally set by the EFL/police/the FA/the EPl. The TV companies take the slots they are given.
If Coleman is now working for the EFL as well - how many hours a week is this taking up? Maybe that time could be spent more on the Swans and driving further revenues?
maybe it was the executive and recruitment team decided against Gyokeres. Maybe it wasn't Steve.
Reading comments from Cooper in January 2021 it sounds he was frustrated that the club did the loan deal "late in the day".
This backs up Watsons claim that there was no process in place at the club around recruitment which begs the question why did the Swans board allowed this to occur for such a long time? Watson was clearly pointing the finger at the owners at the fans forum the other month.
The constant posting about Gyokeres is repetitive and boring. Please come up with a new angle.
I don't know if you watch Swansea much but I saw most games when Gyokeres was with us and he was nothing special. All clubs have players who move on and become stars. I am not sure if you supported the Swans in the early 80s but we had a player called Dean Saunders who we released. Doug Sharpe refused to pay Ron Noades £100,000 for John Salako. The great Frank Burrows had Frank Lampard Junior. But we don't go on about those missed opportunities. [Chelsea had Salah and De Bruyne on their books].
Cooper had a challenging time. From memory he was given players from DC United who he did not want. I trust Steve over Jason and Kaplan when it comes to player quality.
And in summary we should remember
The Huw Jenkins era - more good signings than bad
The Jason Levien era - more bad signings than good.
