Potential points deduction
at 17:24 1 Jun 2024

The FA and League Cup are thought of in the same way as the Checkatrade to the vast amounts of international ‘fans’ of the cartel, they are all about the PL and CL.

I’d love to see a breakaway from them and have a reset of the national game without these clowns and their tellyclapping followers.

The snaky six still haven’t coughed up their fines for their breakaway league that was due to go to grassroots football.

And don’t forget both Chelsea and City will take place in the money spinning club World Cup in the states next summer, whilst no doubt pulling out of the domestic cups having got their way about the replays, yet still cry arsing about fixture congestion and player welfare.

Chelsea got around PSR last season by selling a hotel to themselves and putting it through the books.

Seems fair enough to me.

Everton’s point deduction, if any, would relate to last season as two of the three years have been accounted for. That would see then get a point or two at best. Wolves and Villa will also have to sell this summer to avoid being in breach.

Didn’t Saints make a big loss in the relegation season? That would be taken into account too.

Any punishment will depend on what little Dickie Masters feels like whilst he turns a blinds eye to City and Chelsea.

Isn’t the Premier League fun?

Welcome Back Saints

So what lawyers and accountants do you reckon Saints should go in for this summer. One with a catchy nickname would be good. Maybe get in a couple of young upcoming accounts from Chelsea who know how to work the loopholes.

I heard Nick on Five Live earlier, he came across really well unlike most of the spoilt usual numpties cry arsing about their snaky six problems.

Best of luck for the day Saints.

The Liverpool fans greet the coach and then go to the pub whilst the tourists take their seats in the ground.

It’s the Liverpool Way.

I love a good pitch invasion. The issue last night, from the footage I’ve seen, was that the stewards did less than nothing. There was plenty of injury time for them to sort themselves out and get in front of the West Brom fans en masse, leaving the rest of the pitch for a free for all.

Saints will get a fine and a slap on the wrist at best.

PL clubs to vote on VAR
at 07:32 16 May 2024

Totally agree. In the 2018 WC it was great, and I was looking forward to having it over here, foolishly believing that it would make things more of a level playing field and the snaky six got getting all of the contentious decisions.

It’s gone completely the other way, with VAR actively trying to find ways to give them penalties or disallow goals etc. Incompetence or blatant cheating, I’m not sure.

Everton Loaned More Money

I think you’re right. They got ‘lucky’ this season in that in previous year getting a right point deduction would have meant certain relegation. As it is, they stand to finish 14 points above the relegation zone even with the deduction as the three promoted teams have been so poor, but they have still finished above Forest and Brentford and would have finished in and around Brighton and Bournemouth had it not been for the points deduction.

My point is that under Dyche, they are half decent and whilst there will be players sold to balance the books, there does seem to be a clear plan.

Early days but I don’t think the two promoted sides or any of the play off teams doing any better than the three who have gone down this season. The gap between the PL and the championship seems to be getting bigger and the PSR nonsense seems to hamstring promoted teams from spending any money.

There seems to be an almost daily update of further points deductions and administration for Everton. It’s just noise now.

I’ve said before on here that I’d be gutted if Everton did go into administration, not from a football point of view because that would take care of itself. It would be a massive blotch on the club’s reputation locally with loads of jobs being losses and companies getting screwed over, which would be sickening.

From a fans perspective, we all know where we stand. Dyche and the director of football are doing a great job. From a team that could have should have gone down the previous season, they finished 22 points ahead of the third from bottom side, Luton, and are closer to Villa who qualified in the CL places. This without spending any money for the third year on the spin. It will be the same in the summer, a couple of players will be sold, probably Onana and Branthwaite, and the squad will make do.

I’d still back Dyche to keep them in a decent position to see them through to the new stadium, regardless of more points deductions.

Just saw this on FB, absolutely gutted. I was at home at the weekend for the game and could have got a job lot for the Klopp quadruple leaving party that’s had to be cancelled.

Could have made a fortune.

Haha, that’s my take on it. I’m waiting for the day when Sky Sports News announce Chelsea’s big summer signing to be a top account to cook their books even more than now.

One of the problems with being a yo-yo club that is the parachute money has changed and it’s no longer as lucrative. 13 clubs are cannon fodder with the snaky six and Newcastle competing in a different league, although the 6 are watching Newcastle like a hawk, the hypocritical scumbags that they are. Even Villa who have done brilliant this season and will have a crack at the trough that is the champions league, will have to sell their best players this summer to balance the PSR.

Ironically it will be one of the six who will pick up their players in the summer. The same with Everton, Branthwaite and Onana will be sold to adhere to PSR probably to the likes of United, Chelsea or City for whom the rules don’t apply.

Burnley romped the league last season but have been woeful this year (thankfully) and Sheff United have been even worse. Brave, plucky Luton would have been cut adrift if it wasn’t for the points deductions despite the media narrative that they’ve posed a threat and have been unlucky.

The financial restraints placed on all promoted teams has meant that they’ve barely been able to compete.

Not that the media will ever question this, they will just bask in the hammering that they get from teams with ridiculous amounts more money.

Desperate Tories - or tactical masterstroke?
at 18:27 1 May 2024

Indeed, there is no such thing as an illegal asylum seeker. An asylum seeker is someone going through the legal asylum process as started in the 1952 Geneva Convention. The process for dealing with ‘failed’ asylum seekers has never been sorted since we started to have a large increase in them in the early nineties following the war in Yugoslavia. There was no process for dealing with them and at one point there was a backlog of around 100k and to save money and be ‘efficient’, the then Home Secretary Michael Howard had an amnesty and gave vast amounts leave to remain, hence we had a mass load of Albanians given status.

It staggers me that the government, the Tories and Labour, when they were in power, have been so inept when it comes to immigration policy.

I think anything to do with Everton’s finances are now being sensationalised with almost daily stories saying the club will go into administration and get another nine points deduction etc whilst the likes of Forest and Luton watch on all giddy as they hope it will give them a reprieve from relegation.

I dont want 777 and ideally they will be pushed aside and MSP will take over (they were the original proposed buyers).

I fully expect next season to be as much of a shitshow as the last three, but hopefully with BMD up and running the future will be better and they can re-establish themselves as mid table mediocrity. What a dream that will be.

Premier League to introduce spending cap

Couldn’t agree more. The sooner they bugger off the better. If you’d have said say 25 years ago that Chelsea and City would be a super power house dictating how the game is run, you’d have laughed you head off. Money has elevated both to a position that doesn’t reflect their history and status. Likewise Tottenham haven’t won a league title in most people’s living memory and are only included in the cesspit gang as they needed a sixth team to hold all the cards.

Throw in the desperate appeal to get a 5th team in the CL and it’s clear to see that it’s a cartel.

Without them, there will be plenty of great clubs to keep the great game going.

I would love to see a breakaway from the PL and the EFL and have a complete reset.

Does it really matter? Whatever rules they put in, the snakey six especially City and Chelsea, will have their top lawyers and accountants all over it and will find a way to navigate it without reprisal.

Everton will rightly get hammered, obviously.
