There's a pocket of what I think are Brazilians who can't shut up. |

That West Ham goal was hilarious though. Am in a pub that contains a load of very vocal and committed Man City fans. Some concerned baseball caps after that one. |

I've had a slight obsession with the number 18 since my early teens. No idea why. It's mostly expressed by doing this fidget with my fingers or toes that adds up to 18. Then Ale Faurlin showed up playing for us with the number 18 on his back and it all suddenly made sense. I think. |

I think he's using the step to stabilise himself, stumbling his way to the lift that will take him to the next level. He's fine once he gets to the lift. |

Cutting off the button on a pair of white jeans before they go in the white wash, because the button is attached by a red thread. Despite having never, to my eyes, sewn a button on anything, ever! Later having to blag how to sew a button on. Button falling off in pub. |

Meanwhile I see Henry 'The Nighthawk' Hawkins has signed a new deal. Nice bit of Nourry-speak at the end: “He has demonstrated his capacity in 2023/24 to be a leader in the Development Squad group. The floor is his to grab this next step with both hands.” |

I'm the other way round - can only see him as a TV astrologer! Yet he is both. |

I'm told Russell runs the Middlesex Non League Football Clubs Facebook group. Good for him. |

The first half of your 'quality of her coaching' same sentence - let's not start splitting hairs over the meaning of that. |

I only came on for a casual up-vote but see it's culture wars time again on here on Friday afternoon. But yes, Shef, you're right, the establishment does love a bit of EDI - for better or worse. A lot of people will think for the better but let's leave that part alone: my problem is you're admitting you don't know if she's any good, and that you won't be in a position to tell for another decade. So why jump on her? Both things can be true: the EDI stuff, and the possibility that she deserves the job regardless of any other factors. Tearing her down without knowing just feels knee jerk to me. |

What a difference it makes to have a player fit and motivated. He's been a Rolls Royce in the last few months, but after 16 games last season, many of them partial games, in a shocking side, all it took was this recent uptick for these alleged offers to be floating around. |

Agree with all of that first paragraph, Goblin. (No idea about the inquest bit.) |

I listened to this in my extremely compact Brooklyn flat during the great days of dial up. The year before my then girlfriend had sat through the Cardiff final with a bottle of champagne at the ready. She left me to my depression at the final whistle and only mentioned later she'd had it with her. Was quite touched. For this one I had a 6-pack of Becks ready and ended up starting on it at half time once results were looking good. A great day that was hard to explain to local people at the time, partly due to the 6 beers before noon. Amazing to think how long ago it all was. |
