Huw Jenkins believes that new manager Steve Coppell can inspire them to victory on Sunday

The Swansea City Chairman was hoping to see his club in the end of season play offs come the end of Sunday's game but he knows that he needs a favour from Bristol City to have a chance of that happening.

Their fate is now out of their hands but he believes that Bristol City will be inspired by their new manager - Steve Coppell joined just recently after the departure of Gary Johnson.

Speaking to the Evening Post, Jenkins said "I have got no doubts in my mind that with Steve Coppell taking over, Bristol City will give their all to make sure they upset everybody at Blackpool," said the Swansea chief.

"I know Steve (Lansdown). As a board of directors we know the Bristol City board well.

"I haven't spoken to them this week, but they were aware when we played up there a few weeks ago that their last game could be important to us. They knew then that they could assist us and I'm sure they will want to go to Blackpool and win.

"They will fancy their chances of doing well and competing for promotion under Steve Coppell next season, but they will want to win finish this season well."

Coppell himself will not be at Bloomfield Road on Sunday but Jenkins added "I think Bristol City will be a difficult game for Blackpool, but we have an equally difficult game

"Doncaster have done very well this season and we have to make sure we look after our own result.

"We have been in both positions over the last few seasons. We have been the ones trying to hold on to a place or the ones trying to get in there.

"We have done it all, and we know that all we can do is make sure we give our best."
